Frustrated traveller claims Jetstar damaged their luggage: 'It’s like it’s deliberate'

So, imagine the heartbreak of an Australian musician who discovered his guitar case severely damaged after a Jetstar flight from Melbourne to Launceston on February 10.
The musician, who wished to remain anonymous, had just performed at a festival and was returning home when the incident occurred.
Upon landing, he found his guitar case broken, cracked, and scraped in several places.
The musician had even written a plea on the case, 'Please take care of me. This instrument is my income.'
Jetstar, in response to the incident, offered to reimburse the cost of a new case and the tape used to hold the damaged case together.
However, the musician, still reeling from the shock, has vowed never to fly with Jetstar again.
'I am almost impressed at the damage to my case,' he said, expressing his disbelief at the extent of the damage.
'I think it’s related to the big containers they put in the planes and maybe the fact that they don’t have their own crew.'
The incident sparked outrage on social media, with users slamming the airline for its apparent negligence.
'They don't give a rat's [a**],' one commented.
While another added, 'Wow, that's some effort to damage it.'
'It's like it's deliberate,' a third replied.
