Aussie dad’s roadside action raises questions for council: 'Something can happen quite quickly'

My grandson had an accident on a leaf strewn roundabout near Anna Bay. It was raining and the slippery surface produced a dangerous slide, narrowly missing a light pole, huge gum tree but collecting a bus stop shelter. Luckily there were no people at the bus stop (right on school travel time)...

Is this woman's behaviour a sign of love, or a red flag for a toxic friendship?

Cut and run! No mention of the husband's reaction to this unwanted attention. Apart from during the hospital stay, is he aware of this constant harassment? Time to call the police on this - she is dangerous.

The copper crime wave costing Australians their homes and livelihoods

On a building site there is ample supply of 4 x 2 just right for the swinging!

Australia’s care crisis is growing—is your family ready for the challenge?

Good idea and would certainly take the pressure off some sandwich carers. Unfortunately with Labor you have to have a committee appointed, followed by a sub-committee then various governing and ruling bodies all on mega-salaries with perpetual meetings being held that resolve bugger all.

Favourite takeaway extras disappear as new plastic ban targets everyday items

The "wooden cutlery sets" are not wood per se but bamboo which is a sustainable product used also in production of containers, clothing, furniture, socks - the list in endless. Well and good to replace plastics but the production of the alternatives like bamboo products, cotton, paper bags etc...

Are Australians living in homes that don’t fit their lives? New data says yes

If we didn't have to wear exorbitant agent fees and stamp duty, I am sure others like me would be happy to downsize. So for now my two pups and I will stay put.

Think your nest egg is safe? Jim Chalmers may have other plans

Today - superannuation - tomorrow - family trusts etc. next week - death taxes - don't laugh - Chalmers is thinking of implementing this also. We are going to be taxed through to penury to pay for Labor's excessive promises to the proletariat and the never-employed just to take the...

Favourite takeaway extras disappear as new plastic ban targets everyday items

Please no - I already have a problem with the waxed milk cartons made by Bastards Incorporated which are impossible to prise open the lips to make it pour. I always get a gaping "mouth" which dribbles the milk everywhere outsider the cup. Can you imagine trying to open a little soy sauce...

Groundbreaking home trick promises faster cheaper builds: 'Players need to embrace it'

Disagree - my kit home (5 BR) built in the 80's was the best house out of 5 that I have owned over the years. I actually cried as I drove out of the driveway for the last time when I moved interstate.

Major NDIS shake-up hits, here’s what to expect

And the continuous wasteful schemes keep on coming. Starting with the Krudd introduced NDIS which has gone from bad to worse since inception. The rorting has gotten worse each year of operations. Now in their infinite wisdom, the idiots are going to set up a separate "dis-organisation" to...

ALDI trolley shake-up leaves shoppers frustrated...but why are others defending it?

I have the same problem due to my weight - the smaller trolleys give me a back ache while the larger ones are a good height to be able to lean over. I know it looks weird but it helps.

Broken system could cost every Aussie more than you think, are you prepared?

Here we go again - bailing out Albo and his money mismanagers because they can't keep their hands out of our pockets! Who knew! Get ready for Australia to start circling the drain folks. We cannot afford Labor and is spendthrift ways any longer.

When a parent becomes controlling and cruel, is going no-contact the only option?

I fear that this mongrel will subject you to every form of coercive control and possibly violence. Visit your police station and discuss this with them as to your options in the first instance. Before you start the big move, get you mum out of the house (even if she spends a couple of nights...
