General Discussion Thread 27.10.2025

Hello hello! A lovely day to you, members! 🌞 How was your weekend? Mine came with a bit of a surprise: a sore forearm from a few rounds of badminton. I’m not exactly what you’d call sporty (you could even say I’m bad at minton 😅), but I do love giving things a go.

Whether it’s sport, art, or music, I think we all have that one thing we wish we were better at. For me, it’s definitely sports. Sadly, I don’t have the coordination required to be an athlete, but I’ve got plenty of enthusiasm to make up for it!

Still, trying new things reminds me that it’s never really about being good at something. It’s about the joy of doing it: the laughs, the movement, the feeling of being part of something fun.

How about you? Is there a hobby or sport you’ve always wished you could master? Maybe one you tried once and loved, or one that’s still on your 'one day' list? Share it below! I’d love to hear what gets you moving (or dreaming!) these days.

I’m not sure it’s a sport but after breaking my wrist and having surgery September 23 I’m struggling to hold jars , open things and even clean my teeth.

I`ve been making candles and soaps for about 18 months. I thought this would be a piece of cake but no, how wrong could I have been!! I didn`t realise that you have to have an almost scientific mind to get the measurments right (weighing, measurements, suitable wicks, different fragrances, temperatures, containers) it`s a whole new world, I don`t want to sell them, it`s a hobby and has been a godsend during the last months, a great distraction!.

I'm fantastic at almost every thing I do, be it sport, languages, art, photography, etc...

Just to let you know that the temperature in South Grafton today at 2.00pm was 37 degrees. There was a terrible wind which was also quite hot and nearly had me falling down it was so strong. Anyone else getting this hot when we haven't quite reached summer?
