What’s the best advice you’d leave for a grandchild?
G'day, lovely members! Welcome to a wonderful Monday!

A brand-new week always feels like a fresh page, and today I’ve found myself thinking about the wisdom that travels through families. Some of us are lucky enough to carry sayings, recipes, and life lessons passed down through the years—little treasures tucked into everyday life. I saw this post this morning, and it made me think about my own grandmothers.

I didn’t have the chance to know my grandmothers well, and every now and then I wonder: what advice might they have given me? Perhaps something simple, like how to make a garden bloom, or something much bigger, like how to stand tall when life gets tricky. Grandparents often carry so much wisdom, and it’s one part of life I wish I hadn’t missed.
But that’s the beautiful thing about wisdom—it doesn’t vanish. We collect it along the way, from the people we meet, the lessons life hands us, and the truths we discover for ourselves. And it’s never too late to pass it forward.
So here’s my question for you this morning: if you could share just one piece of wisdom with a grandchild, what would it be? Maybe a favourite saying, a handy life tip, or a heartfelt truth you’ve always held close. Big or small, I’d love to read them in the comments below!
