Cure for Cramps
Leg cramps

Is anyone experiencing excruciating cramps in the legs that can't be stretched out? Cramps that tighten like a rock and last for 3 to 5 minutes?
What are possible solutions? My doctor has no cure for them.

😳I’d be getting a second opinion if I was you, and having blood tests to see if a lack of magnesium or salt or something really sinister. ☹️

Thanks, good advice.
I want to know if there is anything other than magnesium and salt which could help. I feel that I am taking adequate quantities of them, so is there anything else that might help?

Like I say get a second opinion it could be cardiovascular and maybe do your own research on it 🌞

Cramp eze forte over the counter

Magnesium cream is a Godsend, for any pain, especially those severe leg night cramps, I know, I’ve been woken up, many nights in severe pain and feeling like your legs are going to snap in half. Good luck

If your doctor has not done these things already, then a second opinion may be a good idea. Having a blood workup to see what is happening with your electrolytes( eg magnesium) and to also rule out anaemia. Also having your lower limb circulation checked out. Your email doesn’t say when the leg cramps occur or how often. Or if they are accompanied by leg weakness, swelling or skin colour change. All up, go for that second opinion.

I have suffered with leg cramps for years and as I get older, they are becoming worse. I take Magnesium forte which does seem to help. Being an ex-smoker, I believe this is part of my problem.

Are you taking medication like doxycyclone it shrunk all my mussels and had trouble stretching out, also another square tablet non steroid for asma locks my fingers out stiff and cramps them, check medication, buy spray on magnesium and rub in it does help

Rub magnesium oil into your legs and feet every night and keep it beside the bed so if you need it during the night it’s at hand. Relieves the cramps in seconds and helps prevent them.

Best cure for leg cramps is tonic water, it has quinine in it, cannot get in any pill form, as told by doctor, if you do not like the taste add some gin to it, but not necessary, I guarantee it will cure, and cheap, buy the no name brand works as well as the name brand, just drink a glass every day of when it happens, or drink the next day and will keep cramps at bay

I feel for you - cramps can be and usually are excruciating. The only thing that works for me and very quickly as in about 5 mins is magnesium powder. A heaped teaspoonful mixed in a glass of water and downed as quick as you can, followed by another glass of water. Powders are often citrus flavoured - they taste horrible IMO but they work.

Magnesium glycinate supplements might help. My grandfather would suffer from these until he stuck a horseshoe magnet at the foot of his bed, but if there’s any scientific evidence out there proving such a trick works I’m not aware of it. However, the magnesium is valid.

This most definately!

I take magnesium everyday and rub magnesium cream into the affected areas whuch helps and also increase my salt intake in my food which also helps as well. Massaging the affected area which improves the circulation also assists and I eaf a banana a day which has also improved things sk potassium must go hand in hand. With magnesium it is interesting to note that if you are stressed at all your body can expel it like a puffer so you need more thsn usual. A kinesiologist told me this. But I would be inclined to take a double dose kf magnesium at least every second day to try and top your body up but definitely get those blood tests and other suggestions. Good luck as definitely not fun.🤞🙏
