Fact of the Day: A road in Hungary plays a song if you drive at the right speed​

G'day, members! Here’s a fascinating fact to start your morning: Did you know there’s a road in Hungary that plays a folk song through your car’s tires?

If you drive at just the right speed (80 km/h) along a stretch of Road 37 between Gesztely and Szerencs, the ridges in the asphalt play 'Érik a szőlő' (The grapes are getting ripe), a traditional Hungarian tune. It’s like the road itself is singing you a melody!

A bit like the bridge in Melbourne, it plays aboriginal music as you walk over it. When we went over it, about one in the morning without another person in sight, it scared me half to death lol

We already have singing roads!!! It is also the sound of tyres - but not musicial. The sound is when your tyres keeping hitting potholes one after another - more of a thump, thump, thump!!!!!
