Before fashion influencers, there was your local footy coach or the bloke at the corner shop. And in the '60s and '70s, the look was clear: short sleeves, long socks, and a biro stuck right in.

Yes I definitely remember the long socks with short pants.
And a garter in the long socks to keep them up!

I loved seeing men look so neat and tidy. When my beloved late doctor was alive he always wore white at work.... shirt, shorts, sox and shoes. He always looked so professional and special.

my late husband loved his shorts and long socks. my boys got older they teased him mercilessly, and one day took all the socks and binned them ! Hubby just went out and bought more.
