I love dried dates and they are very mourish. Did not know eating them in the morning was ideal. Will give it a go but yes just a couple.

OK fair enough.
It' doesn't interfere with any medication.
It's so healthy for you if you take it first thing in morning makes you regular. Most people as they get older have problems been regular because different medication so it's good for you

Dont eat dates and take blood pressure meds
Can I ask what you have heard about this.
Hubby eats dates every day.

I know you shouldn't eat or drink grapefruit with High blood pressure meds

No, eating dates typically does not interfere with blood pressure medication. In fact, dates are often recommended as part of a healthy diet for managing high blood pressure because they are a good source of potassium, which can help lower blood pressure. While potassium can interact with certain blood pressure medications (like potassium-sparing diuretics), the amount of potassium in dates is unlikely to cause any significant interference.

Here's why dates are generally safe and even beneficial for blood pressure management:

  • High in Potassium:
Dates are rich in potassium, a mineral that helps balance sodium levels in the body and relax blood vessel walls, leading to lower blood pressure.
  • Low in Sodium:
Dates are naturally low in sodium, a substance that can raise blood pressure.
  • Other Nutrients:
Dates also contain other nutrients that can support overall health, such as fiber, vitamins, and antioxidants.

You know if you stuck to everything all these "doctors" and "wellness" experts told you to do, you would be being treated for anorexia, if you get to this age, tell them all to suck eggs. Once you are over 60 years these days you are on borrowed time. Why? We are the junk food generation, it all started with us baby boomers. The next generations have just taken it to another level.

Wonder where you’ve got the info from , as it does not say !
You have to be very careful what you send , as there are many elderly persons who have various health issues and not only aware of what’s going on in their body . You may think you are fit and healthy , but you could have underlying health issues, like CRF( Chronic Renal Failure ) and it may not affect you , but it can lead to terrible treatment. As I worked many years with patients on Haemo Dialysis due to CRF .
They are not supposed to have potassium and very low or no intake of oral fluids , depends on their situation . Dates and bananas are very high in potassium . If you send a post , you need to do your research and not just send something you think is good for everyone .
