A good book can definitely help wind down before bed—but I know what you mean about struggling to wake up after a late-night reading session! 😂 What kind of books do you like to read before sleep?

I prefer mysteries. The only trouble is I very often guess "who-dun-it" before I reach the end. I have now found some good murder/mysteries on Netflix. Some of them true stories!

I love a good murder mystery & often work it out before the end, but doesn’t stop me reaching for the next one. I’m reading a series of murder mysteries by T A Williams, where a retired chief inspector from Scotland Yard moves to Italy where he set up a detective agency but works closely with the local police, mainly as an interpreter, but also helping them out a bit. You learn a bit about Italy as well, but they are good bedtime reading, not creepy or scary. Settling down with a good book is one of my favourite things to do, especially when the weather is cold or wet, even when it’s too hot, I guess anytime is reading time. 😂

I like to spend a few minutes re-reading a physical book, not an ebook, before I go to sleep. A chapter or two is enough to encourage sleep but not leave me wanting to keep reading till I finish the book. I ofen do JD Robb, Clive Cussler, Lee Child and similar.

This is an old one, but I don`t like reading books, got one from my son on mother`s day, it`s about "GENETICS" and he has discovered that we have some GENE mutations which does not surprise me at all, however I doubt if I`ll be starting research on "GENETICS" I love murder investigations and watch them on YOUTUBE every night (with my 88 yr old nearly 89 yr old aunt) she loves them too!.

My husband doesn’t like reading books that much either. About 3yrs. ago I bought him a book, that he wanted, & it’s still not finished! Our son listens to audiobooks, while doing something else, which I thought was a bit hilarious, as he’s only 43. Even as a child, he preferred factual books, so that was what I bought for him. My 8 yr. old great nephew is exactly the same, so I buy him the same sort of books that I purchased for my boy.

I read every opportunity - lunch break, bedtime, waiting at the doctors, nail salon or anywhere that I know I may have to wait. Mind you I would even read a corn flake box if there was nothing else to read. I have this big fear of losing my marbles as I get older so I am determined to make every opportunity count - mind you, physical is not so good - arthur-a-itis is grabbing joints I used to use while very active in sport in my youth and the weight! I may have to forego some reading time to make time for exercise I think 😣🏊‍♀️🏊‍♀️

I love a good crime novel. I’ve enjoyed the Thursday Murder Club series but usually prefer a psychotic serial killer 🔪⛏️

I loved the Thursday Murder Club series also. Did you know that it’s been turned into a movie, I think Helen Mirren is in it but can’t remember who else? Also can’t remember which network it will be on so must check it out, again.

Yes, it’s due out on Netflix later this year. Pierce Brosnan, Celia Imrie and Ben Kingsley are also in it.
