Part-time Lecturer and Tutor at University of the Third Age, Hunter Mobile Tutors
Doctor of Philosophy (Education); Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery ; L.R.C.P., Bachelor of Divinity; Diploma in Information Technology; Associate Certificate in Church Music.

I was a General Medical Practitioner for 22 years, mostly in a semi-rural environment, I have also been a GP tutor for the University of Sydney. Previously I held commissions in both the Royal Navy and RAF Reserve as a Pilot. I attended two years of College in America before entering Medical School in 1965.

I studied Theology for my Bachelor of Divinity in 1993 and then obtained my Ph.D. in Theology at Newcastle (specialising in Religious Education. I completed a 2-year Diploma in IT at TAFE, before proceeding to study for 4 years as a singer at the Newcastle Conservatorium of Music (ACertCM).

I have written 4 books on Theological matters and I am well versed in Koine Greek and French and have a nodding acquaintance with
Hebrew, Latin, German and Italian.

Wow!!! that’s a lot of qualifications, John. Welcome to the forum by the way. How have you been making use of all your acquired knowledge in your retirement? Or have you enjoyed taking a break from it all?
