The beauty of a spider

As a reformed arachnophobic, I can now appreciate some of the amazing spiders I find hiding in the garden, and this one is a real beauty!

Yep. All the little bugs have an important part to play, even the ones that eat my plants. 🐛 🐞 🕷️

I too am not a fan, having had a spider (Huntsman) 'leap' out at me .....
I woke up one morning to see a big huntsman on my wall, tried to wake my then husband, but I could not talk or move. Had to just lie there and wait till he woke up. Never took my eyes off it.😳

Actually, my son woke up one morning and found that he was stroking something on the floor - turned out that it was a Huntsman spider who appear to be just as frightened of the attention as was my son, once he discovered what he was stroking! :eek:That is not the only frightening episode I have had with one of these 'beasts'

Well at the time (of the other episode), instead of being frightened of myself and the 2 boys, it became the aggressor - have never seen a Huntsman react in this way before ....

Might have been a pregnant female or looking for a male to snack on after doing “it”🤣

Had a spider in the car also. I had a car load of teenagers (BOYS) My younger son was in the back and suddenly he was in the front, just about sitting on the dashboard. While I was driving. You'd think I had all girls.

Just found this in my puzzle book:
A female black widow spider can mate with, then eat up to 25 males in one day. 😮
The slut of the spider world.🤣
