Oh yeah did I ever love the Mr Whippy van. As soon as I heard greensleeves being played a mile away I would dash to get my spare change, then race out the front of my house and wait there for Mr. Whippy to arrive.

I knew a lady ,many years ago, who told her young children that when the Mr whippy van played greensleeves it meant he was out of ice cream. Didnt know her when they were old enough to realise she was lying to them

I remember watching it go by, but never had the money to buy from it.

Now living in the Maitland area there is a similar ice cream van that comes by for the children, even in winter.

But I still don't buy from it... you can't change the past.
