Do you know if a shopping site or company are legit??​

Whenever I go shopping on the internet I always go into “scam-detector.com” to see if the site is valid and not a spam site, boy have I had a few surprises that some I thought were legit did nor receive a very good score. Something woth having a look at. Cheers have a good day . Liz

If I think a website is a possible scammer site I just do a google search. And there are plenty.

Yes very true, when you're not certain of a website or it sounds too good to br true, check it out as most of the time it's fake!!

doesn't work very well.
I just tested it with 2 reputable websites...catch.com.au. and Westpac.com.au. and it scored both less than 10 / 100 saying they were young and not trustworthy sites.
I tried Kogan.com.au and it ranked higher than westpac nut still less than 10/100.
Coles.com.au scored 2.7/100
Amazon.com.au scored 2.9/100
Guess we can't use those websites hey!!
It doesn't even find www.seniorsdiscountclub.com.au, so I guess we'll never know if this is a trustworthy site or not.
Naturally it rates itself at 100%

you hit search then you hit validator in the drop down list and type in the website validator, hope this helps

You could use that one or there's about another 8 if you do a search for them.
Most genuine website addresses, like this one, start with HTTPS anyway.

Yes I did do a trial on it but only on unfamiliar webs, never thought of doing catch or banks, mustn't be as reliable as my friend told me
