I was in a Durian Plantation in Thailand recently.
There is only a mild odour whilst you are there.
The odour becomes revolting only after a Durian is cut, breaks open or rots.
My wife eats them like they are lollies. I cannot stand them.
There are signs in many Western Hotels, stating that there are hefty fines for anyone bringing Durians onto the premises.

Has a spiky exterior and an interior you don't want to know about. Generally found in South East Asia.
