Kmart fan reveals clothing dupes that look like expensive designer wear

What if we told you you could get your hands on budget-friendly wardrobe pieces from Kmart that look just as stylish as high-end fashion labels?

We've stumbled upon a shopper who has left penny-savers and fashion enthusiasts wide-eyed.

She has shared with her audience some stylish and affordable clothing items from Kmart that closely resemble pieces seen in more expensive fashion collections.

Her discoveries garnered the interest of the internet, with her video garnering over 359,000 views and more than 17,000 likes.

Now, let's break down her top picks, shall we?

Firstly, she compared a Navy Satin Pyjama Set from Kmart costing just $20 to its expensive counterpart–a Navy Mulberry Silk Shortie PJ set from Peter Alexander–priced at a whopping $299.

Next in line was a trendy halter bodysuit. The Kmart version, in various colours, was priced at a humble $15 compared to its Zara equivalent, which was priced at $39.95.

Following that, a Short Dolman Sleeve Shirt from Kmart for $20 was highlighted. It’s similar to a $149.99 offering from Dissh, the Brooks Geo Vacation Shirt. The best part is the top from Kmart goes well with their Maxi Slip Skirt, which also costs $20.

As you can imagine, the news of such brilliant bargains spread like wildfire among the budget-focused shopper community. Comments from avid shoppers ranged from praises for the comfort of the bodysuits to the high quality of the Peter Alexander dupes.

One ecstatic shopper exclaimed, 'I was sitting outside Kmart when I watched this, and I ran inside so fast.'

However, a few remained sceptical about the longevity and feel of such affordable pieces compared to signature clothing lines. As one unenthused shopper opined, 'The Peter Alexander PJs look great, but they don’t feel anywhere near the same.'

Yet, the astonishing resemblance and price tags of these dupes seem worth the leap of faith, don't they? Even so, remember that what ultimately matters is you feeling confident and comfortable in whatever you choose to wear.

Key Takeaways
  • A shopper has shared a video showing four clothing items from Kmart that look very similar to more expensive versions from other retailers.
  • Among the compared items were a navy pyjama set, a halter bodysuit and a white denim button dress, all of which were much cheaper at Kmart.
  • The video has been viewed over 359,000 times and received a positive response on social media.
  • However, some viewers argued that the quality of the more expensive items justified their higher prices, and others complained about the best deals often being sold out in their local Kmart stores.

Note: Always try to try these outfits on (where possible) or check the returns policy before you make a purchase, so you don’t get stuck with something that might not fit or suit you.

And be ready for the hunt, as Kmart's best bargain buys are known to be hot-ticket items and sell out quickly at local stores. As one frustrated shopper revealed, 'My Kmart is always sold out of the good stuff.'

$299 for pyjamas???????

Funny thing is, I have never been impressed with labels. Being born into a family of tailors, I learnt making my own clothes when I was in my early teens. Later, when I was married with kids, I made ALL of my kids' clothing, including shool uniforms as, being European, I consider them a huge waste of money. My go-to fashion magazine was Burda, but if I saw something I liked, I was able to copy the style without a pattern.
