Terrariums!

My partner and I spent the weekend making terrariums! I found it to be really therapeutic, and a good way to do some 'gardening' even though we only live in an apartment.

They're also quite cheap to put together... The glass enclosures in the photo are about $10 each at Kmart, and some of the components (e.g. pebbles for the drainage layer, moss, etc.) can be found literally on the street or by the side of the road.

Anyone else ever made one of these before?

I'm in the process of making a terrarium in a mushroom shaped jar. I will be planting succulents as they don't need much attention and watering

I'm just about to make a terrarium in a mushroom shaped jar. I am going to plant succulents as they don't need much attention and watering and are easy to look after

Awesome @Lindyloo - post a pic when you're done! I'm going to try a succulent one too.

I'm not an expert by any means, but I wouldn't use a closed terrarium for succulents - I don't think they like the humidity.
