When it comes to being a role model and inspiring others about fitness, Australian tennis star Ash Barty has it all.
Not only does she have a long list of awards, a successful career topped off by a trilogy of Grand Slam titles (making her the first Australian woman to take out the French Open, no less) and multiple records to her name, but she's also been a shining example of persistence, determination, and class both on and off the court.
However, with a baby now in the picture, it looks like the three-time Grand Slam champion is about to take on her biggest challenge yet–motherhood.
This past Saturday, the 27-year-old took to social media to share a handful of adorable photos of her newborn son, Hayden, with her husband, Garry Kissick.
In the image caption, the overjoyed mum declared that she loves 'every single minute' of motherhood, and shared a snap of her sleeping little one nestled in her arms.
'Outnumbered by the boys. Love every single minute,' Barty wrote.
It was only back in July when Barty made her first official post about the birth of young Hayden, having officially welcomed him into the world.
'Our beautiful boy️. Welcome to the world, Hayden!' she posted.
It's no surprise that Hayden's already getting all the love!
Not only did Barty's supportive followers on social media take to the comments section of her post to send their best wishes, like former Aussie swimmer Gian Rooney commenting 'what a cutie' to tennis great Casey Dellacqua with 'sahhhh cute!!!!', but some other sporting greats weighed in too.
Libby Trickett showered Barty’s post with emojis, and former cricket great Matthew Hayden left a cute observation about how 'decent' the baby's 'crop of hair' is.
Talk about a heartwarming welcome to the world!
As told in her new autobiography, My Dream Time, Barty and Garry met seven years ago at Brookwater Golf Club back in 2016. They tied the knot in 2019 in a private ceremony in Queensland where the Barty family hails from.
Taking up the coveted role of mum is a sign that Ash is ready to make a few changes in her life. After all, it was just last year when the athlete left fans heartbroken after her surprise retirement from tennis.
But, with a new arrival to look after, we know that Ash is set to have her hands full with cuddles, nappy changes and feedings.
According to Daily Mail, the dynamic, professional duo have decided to move to Brookewater to raise their baby. So despite Ash's previously mentioned hiatus from the sport, we're sure we'll still catch glimpses of one of our favourite Aussie sportswoman.
But for now, why don't we take a minute to swoon over her son's cuteness?
