Woolworths sneaks freebies into customers' receipts—Read this so you don’t miss out!

In the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, it's easy to overlook the small details.

One such detail that many of us are missing is a hidden freebie tucked away in our Woolworths grocery receipts.

This little-known secret could score you a free hot beverage of your choice the next time you shop at a participating Woolworths Metro store.

The Australian supermarket giant has been offering this deal to its customers since June 2023.

If you spend $30 or more at a participating Woolworths Metro store, this entitles you to a free hot beverage.

This is a fantastic deal considering the average cost of a small coffee in Australia is around $4.50, and the price only goes up if you opt for specialty milk or a larger size.

A Woolworths spokesperson stated: 'Over 11,000 Everyday Rewards Members every week who spend $30 in a participating Woolworths Metro store are already receiving a free hot beverage.'

'Everyday Rewards members can now see their Metro coffee vouchers via the app to keep track of their coffee rewards.'

But what about the quality of the coffee?

Coffee connoisseurs will be pleased to know that Woolworths Metro coffee is sourced from Two Seeds, which the supermarket claims is 100 per cent sustainably sourced.

Each cup is ground and brewed fresh to order, ensuring a high-quality, delicious beverage every time.

To redeem this offer, you need to scan your Everyday Rewards card at participating Metro stores.

You will be notified in your paper or digital receipt or via the Rewards app that you're eligible for the offer.

Eligible customers have 60 days to redeem the offer and can choose any hot beverage of any size, including tea, coffee, or hot chocolate.

However, extras like alternative milk or syrup will incur additional costs.

The best part? You can grab this deal each time you spend $30 in one shop.

Loyalty programs like Woolworths' Everyday Rewards are designed to reward regular customers with perks and benefits.

These programs often offer points for every dollar spent, which can be redeemed for discounts, freebies, or special offers.

However, many customers are unaware of the full range of benefits these programs offer.

By taking full advantage of these programs, customers can save money and enjoy added value in their regular shopping.

The key to making the most of loyalty programs is to stay informed—regularly check the program's website or app for updates, read the fine print on your receipts, and keep an eye out for special promotions.

With a little bit of effort, you can turn your everyday shopping into a rewarding experience.

You are not missing out as Metro stores are more expensive than Woolworths regular supermarkets. The least they could do is shout you a coffee for spending $30. All supermarkets should do this as they are ripping us off for every shop these days.

This is so funny - my receipts are digital, I do this to help paper wastage. Plus low and behold only if you get the coffee from a Woolworths Metro Store. Another kick in the pants for country people.
Woolworths metro is in the CBD of Melbourne and not the suburbs of Melbourne. Their prices are generally higher than supermarkets in the suburbs.

We are a woolworths rewards member and spent nearly $300 on groceries and looked at the rear of the receipt and there definitely was no free coffee offer!

Well well, once again Australia stops at the great dividing range. Woolworths Metro supposedly has 90 stores Australia wide, but they are all on the eastern seaboard
