Woolworths shopper raises concern over ALARMING discovery in his local store, says it could pose HEALTH RISKS to customers

A concerned Woolworths shopper has called on the supermarket giant after making an alarming discovery on the shelves of his local store.
Melbourne customer Cam took to Facebook to grab the attention of Woolies and its shoppers after he discovered that some food items that need to be refrigerated are being displayed on the shelves instead of in the freezer section of the store.
Cam claimed that some beer pâté products — including Maggie's popular Duck and Orange Pâté and Pheasant Farm Pâté — were stocked on shelves despite the fact that the labels at the back of the products state that they should be “keep chilled at 0-4C”.

The shopper pointed out that the mishandling could pose health risks for customers who consume the products.
Cam also claimed that he had seen the same products on the same shelf 11 days prior, despite raising his concerns that they should be transferred to the frozen section with the store manager.
The shopper wrote: “I know that the packaging is similar on Maggie Beer products (which is an issue in itself), but I told the store manager that pâté needs to be kept in the fridge as it says on the label."
“They haven’t done anything about it in a week and it could make someone really sick.”
“Based on the metadata from the photos, I first saw it on the 17th of January at 7:08 pm. It was still there 3 days ago and I assume it’s still there now.”

A Woolworths spokesperson issued an apology for the incident, assuring customers that the unchilled items have since been removed from the shelves.
The spokesperson said: “We’re committed to providing our customers with quality fresh food and apologise for missing the mark on this occasion."
“The pate has been removed from the shop floor and will be discarded appropriately."
“We will work with the store team to ensure it’s appropriately stocked in the fridge from now on.”
It is understood that Woolworths has sold Maggie Beer products for several years and an incident of this nature has not occurred until now.
Woolworths also encourages its customers to speak with a team member if they are unsure about a product's placement in their local stores.
