Woolworths shopper moved by employee’s act of kindness

As most media outlets are teeming with bad news these days, it’s nice to be reminded every once in a while that there’s still some good in this world – and it’s all thanks to people like this Woolworths employee with a big heart.

A Woolworths customer has taken to social media after the supermarket giant’s team member stunned them with an incredibly touching act.

The random gesture occurred at the Walkerston store in Queensland. The shopper, Pam, detailed that she was having a bad day as the foster puppies she looked after were rushed to the vet.

She dropped by the store to purchase bleach to clean up, as the pups had been diagnosed with the contagious canine parvovirus, which can often be deadly.

Pam recalled that she was approached by a Woolworths employee, Jayden, who was stocking shelves at the time and asked her if she needed any help.

The events that followed after Jayden heard her story were very unexpected. Not only did he help her gather all the items that she needed but he proceeded to cover her grocery expenses himself too.

‘Got assistance from a lovely young man today called Jayden at Walkerston Woolworths,’ Pam wrote in her post.

‘He was stocking shelves and asked if I needed assistance, after telling him about my day. He took the items to the counter and paid for them himself. He’s new to the store… He was so polite and helpful. He made my day a little bit brighter.’

Jayden’s heart of gold caught the attention of the supermarket giant and they commended him for his kind deed.

’At Woolworths, our teams strive to bring a little good to everyone every day, and this is yet another great example,’ the spokesperson stated.

‘Jayden’s gesture was very thoughtful and we’re glad it was well-received by the customer. We’ve passed on the feedback to our operations team for Jayden to be recognised for going above and beyond.’

What a beautiful young man and thank you to the lady for sharing. There is not enough of this even when you ask staff a question you sometimes don't get a clear answer.
They should get him to run classes not on paying for groceries but on manners. Even a smile goes along way. Or even a 'how are you today'

As an old lady, I always go out of my way to thank the shelf stackers in our Woolworths. Not enough people think of the workers but as you age you seem to appreciate them more. I find that people, in general, are very kind & considerate to me now I am slow & small.
