This loophole was stumbled upon by a customer after her Everyday Rewards Extra membership was inadvertently cancelled.
Launched in late 2022, the Everyday Rewards Extra program offers members a variety of discounts and rewards for an annual subscription fee.
One of the key benefits of this membership is a 10 per cent discount on one Woolworths shop and one BIG W shop each month, which can be availed online or in-store.
However, a customer revealed on social media that by cancelling and then re-subscribing to the loyalty program within the same month, you can receive an additional 10 per cent offer each time you renew.
The customer shared her experience, saying, 'I signed up for the free month on the first week of January, using a debit card that doesn’t have my weekly pay put into it.’
‘I used my 10 per cent off for January and then used it again the first week of February (so technically, it shouldn’t be ready again till March).'
She continued, 'Totally forgot it was going to direct debit from my other card that had no money in it, so it automatically cancelled my subscription. I realised today, so I quickly paid it and started it up again–only to be given another fresh 10 per cent off (that I used tonight)!'
The customer theorised that if you let your subscription lapse and then resubscribe, you could potentially double your 10 per cent off codes.
She added, ‘I know it sounds so stingy, and it was a total accident. But the way things are going, I’m gonna do this on purpose every month!’
This revelation excited other Woolworths shoppers, although some expressed concern that Woolworths might soon rectify the glitch.

‘Good work, but I suspect they’ll catch on eventually,’ another added.
‘Interesting. You could also try paying mid-month, using that month and [the] beginning of the next, cancel it, and then resubscribe in the middle of the following month,’ a third added.
‘Like what you’ve done but only re-subscribe in mid-March to use March and April and keep repeating to bring down the yearly cost.’
‘Yeah, it happened with me once when I forgot to pay, but haven’t done it since,’ another said.
Another shopper shared a different tip for scoring two 10 per cent off offers in a single month–by shopping both online and in-store.
They found that after using their 10 per cent off code in-store, they could still use the same code online for the next 24 to 48 hours before the system recognised it as used.
‘I’ve found when I’ve used my 10 per cent off code in store, I can also use that same code online for the next 24 to 48 hours sometimes as well before it recognises it’s been used (For Woolies anyway, not BIG W),’ a user wrote.
Another agreed, adding: ‘I find this every month, sometimes even up to a week later still works.’
A third wrote, ‘This happens to me too for both Woolies and BIG W every month.’
