WOOLWORTHS OVER CHARGING ON KELLOGS Corn Flake packet

I am so annoyed at how we are all trying to make our dollar go further when Woolworths at Tee Trea Gully can as of today increase their big 725 Gm Kellog's Corn Flake
box from as usual $6.00 now $6.90 . A total increase of nearly one dollar!!
What is happening to allow that excessive nearly one extra dollar charge.??
I think tomorrow I will go over to Coles at TTP Shopping Centre to check on their costs. I will not like to be paying this extra from my earnings.

Is it worth it if your going to drive there it’ll probably cost you more than that in petrol and back, think about it.🤓

I don't know how the hell these major supermarkets are allowed to get away with these price hikes. They are posting billions in profits, yet keep putting up their prices.

The only cereal where the container has more flavour, than the product?

Why don't you compare the prices on line and save your legs?

I always buy the 890g box of Corn Flakes in Woolworths. That shrunk from 920g 3 years ago. And the price went UP from $5.50 to $6.50!!🙄

Since then the price has been going up and down but is currently staying on $6.90.

I only Buy when this is on special and sometime 2-3 boxes. That way you can save, I do this with all cereals.

Do what my Uncle used to do on the Farm. Put some Wheat in a saucepan, pour in Milk to more than cover and leave to soak overnight. Add Sugar and Boil in the Morning ( how long I am not sure). Place in a bowl and tuck in. I remember it as very tasty.

Yep it is a 15% increase.....keep a check of your usual products in the aisles....they will increase by 10 or 15% on a regular basis....the products might be relatively cheap by themselves ie say$3....then it goes up to $3.30 or $3.45 and you hardly notice.....but when you get to the checkout and see your final total that's when all of those little increases start adding up. That's just a part of their sneaky tactics......

I do this with all my groceries. It does help save money in the long run.

I noticed a couple of weeks ago that several items I regularly buy had gone up by $1 or more at both Woolies and Coles. I did note that Woolies increased first but Coles were right behind them

do not buy it then.

Porridge. But also, as I make my own Muesli, which has oats and other cereals, fruit, nuts and seeds, I always soak over night. Its cheaper than buying brand names, and also no additives.

try Coles corn flakes ..I defy anyone telling the difference from Kellogs and one quarter the price

When you run a business you can make the rules. It’s up to consumers to make a change if it doesn’t suit them
