Woolworths manager responds to job applicant’s fake vaccine exemption: “Consider the job offer withdrawn”

One applicant who seemed to have landed a job offer at his local Woolworths has been caught in the act of faking his vaccine exemption. To make matters worse, he was caught by none other than the store manager who interviewed him for the position.
In a post on the forum site Reddit, one person shared a screenshot of the events that transpired in a local Facebook group.
The job hunter named Alex was looking for a priest in Mildura who he could contact for possible issuance of a COVID-19 vaccine religious exemption, so he can start a job at the local Woolies.
However, unbeknownst to Alex, the manager of the Woolworths store who interviewed him earlier that morning was also a member of the same Facebook group and the manager spotted his fraudulent behaviour in acquiring a fake vaccine exemption.
The unnamed manager responded by saying that Alex was clearly lying during his interview when he said that he had a medical exemption for being unvaccinated.
They followed by saying that the position offered to Alex was no longer valid and that the management will contact him directly.

In a bid to strengthen their workplace health and safety settings, the Woolworths Group has announced last year that they will be implementing a new requirement for team members across Australia – vaccination against COVID-19, unless there was a valid medical or religious exemption.
“We have a clear obligation to provide our team members with the safest possible work environment as we supply the food and essential needs our communities rely on,” said Woolworths Group chief executive, Brad Banducci.
“We need to strengthen our workplace safety settings and vaccinations are clearly a key part of this.”
As part of their vaccine policy, Woolworths is requiring applicants to submit a vaccine certificate or medical exemption should they wish to join the team.
