In a now-viral TikTok video, Ralph Rivera can be seen at a Woolies checkout buying a $1.95 bottle of Sprite. Seems pretty normal so far, right?

But then after scanning the fizzy drink bottle, viewers were shocked when he leans over and put his right forearm over the sensor.

And the sensor read it successfully. "Your Everyday Rewards card has been added," said the machine.

While most customers prefer simply taking their cards out from their wallets or downloading the Woolies app on their phones, Rivera went above and beyond and actually had his Woolies Everyday Rewards card barcode tattooed on his right arm.

"See, it worked," Rivera told his friend while pointing at the screen, much to the surprise and disbelief of hundreds and thousands of users who have seen his video.

Rivera captioned his TikTok video, saying: “tattoo hack” and well, he’s not totally wrong.

It is indeed a nifty hack, but you have to be extremely dedicated to Woolies to have their rewards card tattooed on your arm.

Hundreds of users commented on the video, saying they were impressed with the ingenious “tattoo hack” and called it the ultimate time-saver.

"This is iconic," wrote one user. Another agreed and added: "Omg that’s such a good idea!"

Others even joked that Rivera's tattoo hack inspired them to also get their Flybuys and barcodes of other various store cards tattooed on their arms.

These days doesn't everyone carry a phone. An easier way would be to download the Stocard App and store your loyalty cards in the app.

This way, you can then remove the physical card from your wallet/purse and downsize said wallet/purse.

Of course, for this to work, you have to be doing a self-checkout. We shouldn’t forget our checkout operators - I will never self-check-out because this is a cost saving thing for Woolies, and a loss of a job for lots of people.
