A Woolies shopper's disappointing find in his grocery shop has made the rounds on social media, sparking customers to call out the supermarket giant.
Phillip, who purchased a packet of Lamb Leg Steaks from his local Woolworths store, took to Facebook to air his disappointment after finding a massive defect with one of the cuts of meat he purchased.

In his post, the shopper said that while the pack contained four pieces of lamb steak, one piece of meat seemed to be just a big blob of fat.
Phillip also noted that the defective piece was hidden under the label of the package.
“Gotta love that piece hiding under the label,” he wrote on his post.
One Facebook user jokingly said that the piece was "like 80% fat".

The post drew the attention of Woolworths, with the supermarket chain expressing their disappointment and extending their sincere apologies for the incident.
“We pride ourselves on providing high-quality meat cuts to our customers and we’re disappointed to see this,” A Woolworths spokesperson told 7News.
“If our customers are ever disappointed with the quality of our fresh meat, we encourage them to return it to their local store to receive a replacement or a refund.”
It is understood that the incident is an isolated case as labels on Woolworths products are applied by a machine.
Woolworths is currently investigating the incident and is working with its meat production partner to prevent similar incidents in the future.
