Women love this $70 Target dress—you'd never guess it's not designer!

As the Australian summer sun climbs higher and the days grow longer, the quest for the perfect summer dress becomes a top priority for fashion-conscious women.

The latest buzz in the fashion circles isn't about a high-end designer piece.

It's about a surprisingly affordable Target Australia gem turning heads and drawing shoppers in the droves.

The 'perfect' $70 summer dress from Target is causing quite a stir, with many claiming it could easily be worth $400.

The dress in question is a linen-blend scallop hem midi dress that has become the talk of the town.

Its design is so chic and on-trend that it has been compared to Posse's Zayla dress, which retails at a hefty $399 and sold out almost immediately upon release.

Another similar design by Seed Heritage comes with a price tag of $229.

Yet, Target's version stands out not only for its affordability but also for its striking resemblance to these high-end alternatives.

The Target dress and its pricier counterparts are available in versatile black and white.

They feature scallop hems that add a touch of elegance and detail to the otherwise simple strapless silhouette.

This trendy detail is what elevates the outfit, making it a standout piece for any summer wardrobe.

The enthusiasm for this dress is palpable among shoppers.

'Target's cut is the best, it's gorgeous!' exclaimed one happy customer.

Another shopper expressed excitement over the recent surge of high-quality dupes from both Kmart and Target, saying,

'I am so here for the banging Kmart and Target dupes that have been dropping lately.'

The praise doesn't stop there. Another customer added, 'I really like Target's European linen range—I find that it's so well made.'

But the dress isn't the only item from Target that's capturing the hearts of Australian women.

The Target shoulder bag, priced at a mere $25, has also been flying off the shelves.

Fashion aficionados quickly noted its resemblance to the English designer DeMellier's Tokyo bag, which sells for $650.

The Target version offers a similar triangular shape and arrow-shaped magnetic closure, making it an ideal 'city bag' that can elevate any outfit without breaking the bank.

The bags are nearly indistinguishable when placed side by side, leading many to marvel at the similarity.

'I love this bag, it's beautiful and stylish,' a five-star reviewer noted.

'It matches all my clothes.'

Another shopper pointed out the practicality of the Target alternative, saying, 'There isn't anyone in my circle who can afford a $650 bag, so the Target one is a winner.'

Target's clothing ranges have consistently been lauded for offering some of the best value-for-money pieces.

The superior design and quality have not gone unnoticed, with thousands of customers raving about their finds.

The brand's recent clothing lines have even gone viral on Australian fashion social media, with countless women sharing their impressive clothing hauls.

'I'm obsessed with the new summer and linen collection at Target,' one social media user shared.

Another added, 'The work wardrobes are just the best. It's always the first place I go nowadays when I need new clothes.'

Target Australia has hit the mark with their latest offerings, providing stylish, high-quality alternatives to designer brands at a fraction of the cost.

This approach caters to the budget-conscious shopper and democratises fashion, making trendy and elegant styles accessible to all.

$70 for a target dress is a lot to pay.
Target have recently partnered with KMart, not exactly high-end, and then expect us to pay $70 for an inferior quality pretty ordinary dress.
I am so over these so called "dupes".
Why don't they employ designers and come up with their own lines instead of making cheap copies of designs they steal from others.

Most products sold in Australia are relatively inferior resulting in their low price - WHY, because they are made in the cheap Asian countries who employ underage, child labour and low-paid employees, but we are paying at least double what it costs to produce. If we produced those same items here it would cost at minimum three times the Asian produced items. You get what you pay for, so there is no point in complaining about quality.

I now purchase my tops and pants from Temu, and I have yet to find one of inferior quality. They are so cheap that I can throw them out after so long. I got over my China thing as we can only buy made in china.

Proudly brought to you by Target and Kmart through their Chinese supplier, Anko....

....who employ Uyghur Muslim slave labour.

Well I could buy three dresses of comparable quality, they all come from China, from Temu
Delivered free to my door.
Never bought a thing from Temu.

Why is it that I get bombarded by emails from them and Shein several times a week?

Several months ago, I was looking at new high end power tools. Dewalt, Milwaukee, Bosch, etc. ALL made in f**king China! The only Bosch Professional range of power tools I purchased were made in Switzerland, Poland, Hungary or Germany. What happened?

I like to read/hear about bargains that could save me money, I think many of us do that.

The summer dress in the picture above however, is in my opinion best suited to a younger demographic (see attachment).

(For me), gone are the days of strapless, sleeveless and otherwise revealing.

I realise that some readers may enjoy such articles for themselves or to recommend the featured items to relatives/friends. Not me.

A majority of readers would be seniors so I'd ask writers (when reporting on clothing dupes/bargains) to provide information on items that are somewhat more age appropriate.
