Woman shares stunning results after trying popular cleaning hack involving two AFFORDABLE, EASILY-ACCESSIBLE home items

Let's be honest, keeping a tidy house can get quite challenging, but luckily there are some clever people out there sharing their inventive cleaning hacks on social media.

From organizing your closet to getting rid of pet hair, there’s a tip out there for just about everything these days.

But with so many cleaning hacks out there, it can be tough to know which ones are actually worth trying.

Fortunately for us, there are people who share their personal experiences after trying some of these tips themselves.

Speaking of tested and proven cleaning hacks, one woman has shared how one popular tip from TikTok helped her transform the dirty bottom of her pans into looking brand new using two easily-accessible household items.

Sharing the result of her "experiment" on Facebook, the woman admitted that she had been trying to clean the dirty bottom of her fry pans using different methods to no avail. So, when she saw the tip on TikTok, she immediately thought of trying it.

“I saw this on TikTok and wanted to try it,” she wrote.

“To my amazement, it worked! So happy I found this.”

So, what exactly is the hack?

It was claimed that rubbing salt and lemon on the bottom of the frypan could get rid of the dirt buildup found on it.

The steps are also simple: place granules of salt on the surface of the bottom of the frying pan, slice a piece of lemon and rub it on the surface with the salt.

The Facebook user also suggested using rock salt instead of normal table salt to maximise results.

The post captured the attention of hundreds of users, with many expressing their keenness to try it themselves.

One person wrote: “Amazing!!! Will be giving this a go!”

Wow, it looks like a brand new pan, I will definitely be trying this one for sure," another quipped.

Others said that the tip can be used in other cooking accessories too.

One comment read: “We used to do this camping to clean pans when we were low on water... it works!”

“That's how we clean wooden chopping boards,” another added.

A third chimed in: “I do that on my BBQ plate... first I lightly heat the bbq, sprinkle plenty of coarse salt, then using a wad of kitchen paper, I start scrubbing.”

“I then scrape up the dirty salt, wipe BBQ with a damp cloth, repeat if necessary, or sprinkle salt lightly, and with a cut lemon, give it another scrub over, repeat until you are satisfied.”

As it turned out, a number of people have been using lemon for all sorts of cleaning needs.

One person shared: “Lemon is great for a lot of things. If you have scales in the bottom of your kettle, just throw in a few slices of lemon and water and let it run. Good as new.”

“Same with the microwave. Cut a lemon in half and throw it in the microwave cut side facing up. I think you have it run for 1 minute,” another said.

Lemon or lime can be used as a natural deodorant. Cut lemon in half and rub onto armpit, or juice a tsp and rub on with a cotton wool ball. Not just after shaving though. Good to rub onto your feet too, if you suffer from sweaty smelly feet. Lemon lowers the PH and makes it not possible for bacteria to thrive.
