Woman questions whether her husband is cheating after she discovered that he bought expensive gifts and received lingerie photos from his “friend”

A woman had taken to Reddit to air her frustration and guilt over assuming her husband was cheating on her.

The Reddit user, who posted her story anonymously, said that she had a really secure relationship with her husband — who is also her childhood sweetheart — so it's really odd that she now feels jealous and insecure about the recent actions of her man.

In her post, the woman revealed that he discovered that her husband bought expensive gifts and received intimate photos from a female colleague.

The woman explained that her husband is slowly giving her less attention than usual and he started talking a lot about a "friend", prompting her to feel concerned about the possibility of him cheating.

The woman also found out that her husband gifted the said colleague an expensive coat after he drew her name in the Secret Santa raffle, comparing how she had cheap gifts from her husband during the holidays.

She wrote: "He bought me an iron and some flats and usually goes overboard so I was upset when I found out."

The husband then opened up about the fact that he purchased a pair of expensive earrings for his colleague's birthday, leading the woman to become paranoid.

The woman revealed that she checked her husband's phone because of her paranoia.

She recalled: "There were screen recordings of Snapchats she'd sent him. At first, there was mostly just her singing in the car, but then I noticed one of her licking an ice cream cone and finally a shot of her in just her bra and panties."

She also detailed how her husband spends a lot of money on paid porn, showering women with financial gifts in exchange for sexual content.

The woman said: "Let me first say I'm super aware that my husband looks at porn, frequents Onlyfans, and sometimes gets half-naked pics from girls. He's ALWAYS shown me these and we talk about it all the time. These pictures I saw from this phone were not those."

Aside from porn, she discovered that her husband has been engaging in sexually explicit text messages.

However, when she confronted her husband, the man said that he was confused because he had done nothing wrong.

"I confronted him about it and he basically said he was wrong for hiding the money but was confused at my issue with the other stuff since I know he did that," the woman shared.

It was said that the husband denied doing anything sexual with his colleagues as he is just close friends with him and defended his consumption of porn services.

The woman said that she is confused if her concerns are valid.

"I'm not sure that I can believe he is not engaging in physical relationships, but I also feel bad for encouraging and even participating in this (porn) with him and then being mad," she said.

Reddit users consoled the woman, telling her that she should not gaslight herself into thinking that she is wrong for feeling concerned.

"This is 100 per cent cheating," one user said, claiming that while using porn services is normal, exchanging explicit text messages and photos is "crossing the line".

One woman wrote: "I think you know in your heart what is happening. You have to decide if you are going to live like this or not. I am really sorry."

A third wrote: "You're allowed to be ok or not-ok with that as you want, but he's trying to play that off as within the rules of an exclusive relationship... it's just taking the p**s."
