Woman’s Aldi cupboard fits her laundry space “like a glove”

In the popular Aldi Mums Facebook group, one woman has shared that she has been struggling for months trying to find something that could fill in the gap left from modifying her laundry space.

“We had to get one of the bottom cupboards removed as it didn't fit our washer and dryer,” said Beatriz, who has been sharing her home building process in her Instagram account.

Luckily, she found a “gem” at Aldi – a $60 white bathroom cupboard that fits “like a glove” in the gap between her washer and the existing built-in cupboards.

Like Cinderella to her shoe, the white cupboard perfectly fits her laundry space, it even matches the colour palette! What a lucky find!

In her post on Instagram, Beatriz described how they managed to have a gap in their laundry space.

The couple initially had three built-in cupboards beneath the sink (as pictured in the left photo). However, they found out after the handover that the space left would not fit their front-load washing machine and dryer.

So, they decided to remove the third cupboard, leaving them with ample space for both of the laundry machines, and a tiny gap in between.

Beatriz thanked the Aldi find for filling in the gap, as well as completing the look for her dream laundry room. “I’m in love; best $60-dollar-spend ever!” she said.

Towards the end of her caption, she gave a piece of advice to fellow homeowners: “Check every single dimension in your plans, especially when you’re making custom changes.”

Her posts gained a ton of attention, both from the Facebook group and on Instagram, with many people saying that the room goes perfectly with the rest of her house.

One mum even pointed out that the mini cupboard looked like it was custom-made for her!

The smart thing to do would have been to get her original cupboard that was removed reworked to the size of the gap that was left, this is hardly a big news story, it was just luck, but it looks out of place

Someone didn't check their measurements.
Surely if you were doing a reno or modifying your laundry, the washer/dryer would have been the FIRST items installed with everything else installed AROUND them!
No actually. The cupboards & benchtops are installed before appliances. But someone didn't check the measurements properly if this woman already had her appliances.

Most builders are men and they just don't quite get it unless advised by a woman. hahahahaha I remember my first kitchen reno and got a kitchen mob in to give me a free quote (male) then another kitchen place in (female) and all her ideas made more sense and were more workable
