'Why Kmart?': Shoppers notice hidden X-rated details on retailer's Christmas collection!

As the festive season approaches, Australians are decking the halls and getting into the Christmas spirit.

It's a time for joy and traditions spent with family, including the playful Elf on the Shelf game.

However, one shopper's recent discovery added an unexpected twist to the holiday preparations, leaving some raising eyebrows.

A shopper named Cassie was on the hunt for an affordable elf decoration to join in on the Elf on the Shelf fun.

To her surprise, she stumbled upon a $5 Mini Elf Decoration at Kmart that featured a rather 'distinctive' nose.

Cassie took to social media to ask if other shoppers found the figurine's phallic-shaped nose 'inappropriate' for a family-friendly holiday decor.

'I've been looking for an elf now; delete if it's too inappropriate, but um, why Kmart?' Cassie remarked.

The post, accompanied by a photo of the cheeky elf, quickly sparked a flurry of reactions.

Kmart shoppers chimed in with witty comments.

'He is very happy to see you,' one commented.

Another poked fun at the design and playful comparisons to the fictional puppet Pinocchio.

The conversation did not stop at mere jokes.

Some shoppers speculated about the functionality of the elf.

'If you press the magic buzzer he is holding, then what happens?' one asked.

Cassie responded, 'I don't think I even want to know.'

She herself found the situation amusing.

'My first thought was, "Oh my, what a big nose you have".'

'I wasn't tempted to buy it as a joke, but it would be a good way to call someone a d*******."

However, she also pointed out the lack of a 'quality check' at Kmart, given the decoration's potentially inappropriate appearance.

For those who prefer a more traditional take on the holiday elf, Kmart offers the classic Elf on the Shelf book and toy bundle for $55.

They also have the World's Smallest Elf in the Shelf Toy for $10.

This incident is a reminder that sometimes, even the most innocent holiday decorations could take on a life of their own.

It's also a testament to the power of humour in navigating unexpected situations.

As the holiday season rolls in, keep an eye out for quirky finds that could add an extra layer of laughter to the festivities.

Quick! Take all zucchinis, carrots and cucumbers of the shelves of supermarkets! Rid the world of books and movies that have a reference to Pinocchio! Ban all cylindrical candles, much to the disgust of those who reside in convents.

What a load of rubbish!
I love zucchinis and will bake a roast vegetable frittata to go with our dinner tonight.

Seriously, to my mind, this person clearly has a phallic fetish. You could find potential phallic look a likes in everything from vegetables to clouds. I don't think I would ever look at those Santas and think they are inappropriate.

Not festive decorations but a few years ago it was either Big W or Kmart brought out a dress up wedding dress for little girls.
One woman complained that it was sexualising girls and the shop took them straight off the shelves never to return.
There was a massive outcry from the public who thought the woman was way over the top, it was just a dress up, for all she knew it could have been a bat mitzvah dress!
