Not only did I watch the TV show, I went to see the show recorded. Yes, I did some of the experiments, such as the temperature of a cup of tea if you add the milk and then answer a knock at the door as well as not adding the milk. I also got up early every day to work for our milkman, and he yelled at me when I showed some of my friends how to get the egg into the bottle. He also made me take ten bottles home and clean the eggs out of them.

Yes l remember watching him his shows were so interesting especially the egg experiment Pity there are not others to fill his shoes.
Just reminds me of another person Bill Collins who's knowledge was so good on movies etc

I’m sure I can say “ Why is it so”, was the start of my love for anything science related.
Could not wait to get home from primary school each day to watch him…almost always I did the experiments as soon as the episode finished…...I to was fortunate enough to actually see him live

I didn't study science, physics etc at school, so I was fascinated by this show. He made everything so interesting and easy to follow. My siblings and I still ask Why is it so? Unfortunately my children didn't get to know him.

I loved watching his show, it was so interesting and entertaining. I wish there were shows for children like that now. I think everyone tried the egg in the bottle experiment. Why is it so? And the cadbury chocolate commercial a glass and a half of full cream milk still resonates with me when I eat chocolate!

I had no other children around me so watching and trying gave me something to do that could be accomplished by one.
