Why is everyone obsessing over this Kmart iced coffee maker? Find out if it's worth the hype!

We love our coffee, and for many, a day without it is unthinkable.

With warmer months around the corner, we're all looking for ways to beat the heat, and Kmart may have just released the solution: an iced coffee maker! But is it worth your money and what are people saying about it?

Kmart’s $39 iced coffee maker is causing quite a stir among shoppers. Many have claimed they've been waiting for such a product for years.

However, the demand has been so high that the iced coffee maker is now sold out both in Kmart’s physical stores and online.

Kmart is known for budget-friendly coffee appliances, due to its recent success with budget espresso machines.

According to a coffee connoisseur in Sydney, Kmart's iced coffee maker is, ‘...absolutely perfect for summer—it's so quick and easy to use’.

Ella, another shopper from Melbourne, recently shared her honest review of the product in a video on social media. She said, ‘This is so good—I'm going to make one every morning for the next two weeks.’

‘It's going to save me so much money—it tastes the same as the $7 iced coffees I buy every day. Delicious.’

One buyer also shared, ‘It's such a bargain and beats me spending almost $100 a week on coffee’.

‘I only just saw this online and it's sold out everywhere—I'm so upset,’ another buyer added.

‘The coffee isn't as good as café coffee but it's great for when you have to stay within a budget,’ another woman wrote.

However, some buyers were unsatisfied with the purchase, with several returning it shortly after buying. Others also warned coffee lovers not to buy it.

One shopper, Rach, even created a video review. She said, ‘It tastes like s**t—I'm probably going to take this back’.

‘I definitely won't be buying this,’ another said. ‘It's a filter coffee maker–-I'm blown away they're trying to pass this off as an iced coffee machine.’

Most critics argue that the iced coffee maker doesn't live up to the expectations of true coffee lovers, with one person dismissing it as merely a ‘normal coffee machine’ that ‘just pours a shot of coffee’.

for years I've have been making my own "Iced Coffee" - depending on how I feel and how much I'm making I will either use my Expresso machine/pod machine or my Percolator for the coffee mix then while my coffee is cooling a bit I smash/crush up ice either by hand or with my ice machine. I fill my tall glass with the cooled coffee & crushed ice (plus a few ice cubs). Then I top it off with milk. Hay presto, Ice Coffee. If I want a sweeter taste I add my sugar to the hot coffee (& mix) and maybe even a swirl of whipped cream on top.

No I won’t buy it. My Aldi machine does the same thing, cold milk and whatever you put in it, a coffee capsule and a shot, or maybe two of coffee. Stir away and there you go.

From a disgruntled consumer:
A $39 item from Kmart initially had Aussies “running” to the store, but now some shoppers are claiming the hot ticket item isn’t what was advertised on the packaging.
Sydney woman Rach Annette recently purchased the new “Iced Coffee Maker” from the budget store and quickly rushed home to check it out.
But, when she discovered the Kmart appliance didn’t dispense milk or ice, she was left less than impressed and sought a refund.
“It’s the end of the Kmart iced coffee machine saga. I just got a refund for it,” Rach explained in a video.
Because it’s not an iced coffee machine at all. It’s like a percolator or a filtered cold drip, and it’s not really advertised as that.”

What do you expect for $39.00? You get what you pay for.
It may pay to fully read the description or instructions before purchasing.
