Why a celebrity chef’s connection with President Donald Trump just resurfaced

Celebrity encounters can often lead to unexpected twists, especially when past connections resurface in surprising ways.

For one renowned Australian chef, a chance meeting over a decade ago with a high-profile figure took on new significance.

Their paths crossed once again—this time with a potential invitation to cook for one of the world's most talked-about leaders.

Curtis Stone said he would be open to cooking a meal for Donald Trump and even revealed what dish he would serve the former US President.

The Australian-born celebrity chef, who lives in Los Angeles with his wife Lindsay Price and their two children, reflected on his past interactions with Trump during an interview.

Speaking with Charlie Cotton from a gossip website, Stone recalled first meeting Trump in 2010 when he appeared on The Apprentice, long before Trump entered politics.

‘At that point he had no political aspirations, he was doing a reality show running a real estate business,’ Stone said.

‘He was outspoken and had a lot to say about lots of things.’

‘You didn’t ever really think he would.’

Stone admitted he was surprised when Trump launched his political career and won the presidency in 2016.

‘Most people that want to become the President or Prime Minister of a country start their life in politics,’ he said.

‘Trump had nothing to do with politics until he decided he was going to.’

‘It’s bizarre, it’s nuts.’

Despite the unexpected turn in Trump's career, Stone said he would be willing to cook for him if given the chance.

‘I would accept the challenge for sure,’ he said.

‘If I was going to sort of lean into Australia I would bring him some beef, I know he likes steak.’

This wouldn’t be the first time Stone and his wife had been in Trump’s orbit.

In 2019, they attended a State Dinner at the White House in honour of then-Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

More recently, the couple faced a terrifying ordeal when wildfires tore through their Los Angeles neighbourhood.

They were among the residents forced to evacuate as fires devastated the Palisades area, destroying thousands of homes.

Miraculously, their property survived the blazes, making them one of the lucky few in the disaster-stricken community.

In a previous story, diners revealed shocking experiences at a restaurant owned by Gordon Ramsay, with some calling it ‘an actual kitchen nightmare.

Their accounts exposed the chaos behind the scenes.

Read on to see how these experiences compare to the standards set by top chefs.

When Curtis Stone advertised for the Master Chef range of cooking utensils, he lost credibility. Those pots and pans were a disaster, causing multiple burns to users through non existent insulation on the handles.

He has since distanced himself from these products but it didn't help those who were injured by the cookware he endorsed.
Yeah shouldn't have been involved with that, popping rivets, peeling and such, ive already mentioned coles, but brains tell u not to buy cooking utensils from coles or any food supermarket, promotions or not, even their tongs are shit. Pays to go to correct homeware store, costs more but worth it, and some of theirs can be dodgy sometimes, no quality these days. So I'm not going to hang the bloke.

I've always thought him down to earth, since I met him at a hospitality function in Sydney years ago, talked about farming and dogs more than food, plus you don't earn a Michellin star by not knowing what your on about. But I don't agree with his fresh food coles crap! Not up here anyway, I think that just pays the bills, Local home grown veggie shop the best🍊🍌🥦🥔👍.
Ever watched him and his wife’s cooking show taped in America it’s nauseating. And the way she glares menacingly into the camera and says”and ladies he’s all mine” the shows vomit material. 🤢That turned me off him for ever and why’d they pick him for the ads anyway.☹️

Fair enough, never seen it, don't watch many cooking shows, goes with the territory being a chef, read books more often. But each to their own, everyone loved Bernard king ,but grandad thought he was a filthy pig for wiping his nose with the back of his hand and kept on preping without cleaning his hand.
