I was all of 11 years old when 'The Monkees' TV show came to Australia and was immediately a Smitten Kitten as soon as I laid eyes on Davy Jones he was sooooo gorgeous, my crush latest well into my later teenage years. I got to see him once in concert when Mickey, Peter and Davy toured in the mid 80's and have seen the other guys in various forms of Monkee reunion shows before 2019. I was heartbroken when Davy died in 2012 and sadly now only Mickey remains, but I have lovely memories of endlessly daydreaming and listening to my records of my favourite band as an innocent young 'teenybopper' way back in the late '60's

When I was 11, my celebrity crush was Davey Jones from The Monkees. I loved watching the show, singing along with the songs, and he was so fresh faced and handsome to my young mind. I also loved his English accent.
