What's your morning routine like?

G'day members! It's a brand new day, and I'm curious with how you go about with it.

Do you prefer a calm start to your day, or do you go straight into business? Personally, I love waking up early so I can prepare for the day while listening to some music. This is something my dad also does.

How about you? Share your morning routines with us here!

I go for a one hour walk EVERY morning along the walkway in Broadbeach (near the beach) and also do a few exercises on one of the gym machines. In the last 12 mths I have walked the equivalent to Melbourne (1,712 kms) and on my way back next 6 months🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️

Wake up at 8am my son comes in shuts the window and puts the column heater on for half an hour as it's so cold here. Then l have a shower and get dressed my son makes me a drink in the kitchen /dining area .My other son always has his music on and now playing ''Sultan Of Swing'' Dire Straits'' on at the moment so l'm listening to that while on SDC
Never in bed before 12.30 am

Not being a morning person, my day starts slowly. I wake up to my morning coffee made by my partner who IS a morning person and has mastered our espresso machine.
I check socials, emails then work my way through a bunch of puzzles in a specific order (I know) Times, BuzzFeed then Seniors Discount Club. Sometimes I get a second cuppa, then I get up and start my day.
After 40 years as a teacher, this is the retirement I dreamed of.

I usually wake up at 6am. Have a coffee while watching Sunrise on 7 while also reading the newsletter from sdc.
Although today it was holding baby Leo while his mum had her coffee. ( Leo's dad is in hospital and they are staying at mine so I can help with Leo)IMG-20250705-WA0000.jpg

How lovely for you to have little Leo. Give him a hug from me.
Hope Leo's dad gets better. Any chance of a picture of Leo
