Whats app scam please read​

I received a message saying one of my children just damaged their phone and to delete the old number and replace it with this number

At first I thought it was my eldest as she is always changing her number but when this happens she starts of hey mum it's Mel.

I screened shot our conversation, I deleted the end as me and my daughter had a bit of fun with them ...sort of payback . The number showing is their number and the name Greg we used doesn't exist

I think it's so smart that you used a fake name to confirm that it's a scam. But still be careful, @Suzanne rose ! Sometimes responding is enough to confirm that you're an actual person to these heartless cyber criminals. Thanks for sharing your experience with us!
