What this woman found in her KFC chips will shock you!

Do you like to order from fast-food outlets from time to time? If so, this nightmare story may make you think twice about taking the risk.

A KFC customer recently had the horrendous experience of finding some unwelcome 'guests' in her chip box a few days ago - and we can only shudder at the thought of it!

According to her post, which was shared on social media, she was dismayed to find three different kinds of insects among her salty potatoes – one almost as large as a medium chip itself! Yuck.

The largest appeared to be a damsel bug while another seemed to be a small grasshopper and unfortunately, one type couldn't even be identified anymore (yes, the bug was cooked along with the hot chip, and it pretty much melted into it). Ew…

The woman said that after sharing photos of what she found online (in the caption, she wrote: 'I love my KFC chips with a side of whatever the f*** this thing is'), all appetite for eating chips from fast-food joints has been eliminated for life.

When she complained about it directly at the store, all they could do was offer her $20 off.

A 'generous' discount doesn't really make up for such an incident, though. Who knows, maybe there were other bugs that had already been eaten before they were noticed…

The woman reported the matter to the Queensland Department of Health as well as the KFC online portal and received an apology from a KFC representative who said they were attempting to make contact in order to discuss it in further detail.

'We're sorry our customer had this experience, and are trying to make contact to discuss the matter further,' they said. 'Our team is investigating the incident to better understand what has happened.'
Key Takeaways

  • A KFC customer encountered a horrible surprise in her box of chips; several insects, one almost the size of a chip, were discovered fried along with the snacks.
  • The woman was offered a $20 discount for her experience, which left her frustrated.
  • KFC is investigating the matter to better determine the cause.
But now, let's look at the bigger picture here. This is definitely not a 'small' incident where we can pat the woman on the back and tell her 'no worries, accidents happen' because the truth is that these types of incidents should never occur in the first place.

This isn’t even the first time something like this has happened. Check out this story that took place at McDonald’s.

There’s an important takeaway, members: ALWAYS inspect before eating!

Be meticulous and don't be afraid to return goods - especially when it comes to food items - if something is not as advertised or you have even the slightest of doubts. A little bit of paranoia can go a long way in protecting our safety.

Stay safe always, everyone!

Fast food says it all……..no time to check what they are serving!!
I’m not a fan. I go months without anything like that. Sometimes, maybe a pizza 🍕 Burgers, never!!! 😝

I am glad I don't eat fast food. That is filth, and means the business isn't cleaned properly. I had a takeaway business ànd bug infestations can happen, you have to be on top of it

Reminds mw back in in the 1980's when the brother-in-law got chicken from KFC only to discover it was rat (fur an all) served up. Since called it KENTUCKY CHUCK.
