Life truly is what you make it. I've lived a confronting life, left an abusive home at the age of fifteen in 1950 to start nursing as a cadet nurse. Over the decades I've been in some miserable situations, with no one to rely on, experiencing some dark moments when life was intolerable. I learnt to go on by taking comfort in everyday things, volunteering, gardening, knitting, music, amongst other hobbies. Volunteering, helping others is lifesaving, people are supportive, you can talk to empathetic listeners, share problems, and even learn to laugh again, and find joy in things which give you pleasure. Don't despair, find a solution to your problem, if it's not possible, learn strategies to help you not devote time to worrying about it. Talk to your GP and perhaps, a counsellor who will help clarify things. There is help out there, access it, and remember, life is worth living.

I am a volunteer driver for a Health Service, I pick up and drop off clients, to their front door. It’s uplifting to see their happiness of being able to get to medical appointments, instead of paying for taxis.. Its a wonderful job..

This article was prompted by me this week in our local paper when one of our POOPS clients passed away, POOPS means Pets of older persons and this illustrates how our team go above and beyond our normal duties for our clients. 1732748283980.jpeg

After the age of 50 I started to go to a little local church and finding my faith has given me great comfort. I now feel no fear of death and dying and although I might suffer illness and problems like everyone else, I always come from a point of 'what can I be grateful for?' My faith also encourages me to look outward and to not be self absorbed, I love to help other people. I like to swap out the word 'success' for 'serve' and that's the difference to my heart now.

It's not a matter of liking or disliking her.
A lot of her points were valid and made sense, but of course our Government didn't think so and tried to gag her.

Yes, she is honestly racist and honestly bigotted. Hardly something to be proud of . And I feel sorry for anyone that thinks these are good qualities.

I do, she has been fighting for Australians and Australia for years and has never wavered in her fight, she loves Australia, I have met her and she is really lovely and her warmth and care just radiates from her, when she says I love Australia, you can see that she absolutely does ❤️🇦🇺❤️
