I'm passionate in my creative self-expression, I'm also a long time, movement trainer, author, and a onstage comedian at times, plus I paint and sketch too. (sigh) not very left brained however, as I don't know how to reduce images from my files and inset them.
Wow this is incredible. An on-stage comedian maybe you know a well known friend of mine Frida Deguise

Sorry, no I don't. I have only been in that aspect of myself up on stage about three times. I have spent more time onstage as a Poet. Years back I was offered an ongoing gig in both, but though great fun, they are just what comes naturally out of me.
I am too heavily invested in other aspects of myself, these days.

Look her up she is hilarious, she is also a chef and is starting to be a regular on the morning show

I just finished this painting . It's from a photo of me and my granddaughter admiring a sunset over Botany Bay

Your painting looks great. I used to paint and loved doing it, I've done quite a few hobbies and now at 86 i just make cards and sometimes boxes that is challenging. I don't know what will happen when I can't do that any more. I guess i will have to go back to reading

I have a few creative hobbies. The main ones are illustration, assembling scale models and photography.
The examples here are:
1. An airbrushed illustration of a tiger (Used a fine brush for some minor areas, like whiskers)
2. A 1/48 scale aircraft I assembled and painted
3. A photo of an approaching storm over Barwon Heads/Ocean Grove.

You are all very adaptable people. Congratulations with your talents one& all.

Ha! Scrolling back through other posts, I discovered that I had already posted on this topic a little over a year ago - must have been having a senior's moment when I did the new post earlier today.

Wow these are gorgeous. How long does it take to do one?
I used to cut all the pieces out on the floor and stitch together, it can take me up to a month doing it this way. Unfortunately, my knees have gone so have bought a fold up table and use that now for cutting, piecing and sewing, so it is just a little faster.

I make cards also & have done for years. I used to make Fancy dress Costumes but now I can't sew a straight seam so that is now out. I used to write stories & poetry. Now I just read & make cards.

I enjoy experimenting with food. Trying weird combinations of ingredients to see how they turn out.

Not just, there is an art to making cards, good on you.

We would love to read some of your stories and poems 😊 but only if you want to share 😉

I did a lot of diamond painting but decided I had too many irons in my fire. I loved it, however. Would love to see some of your work. I mainly did cats.
I also love diamond painting, probably because when it comes to drawing I'm a lost cause.
Both my boys are excellent artists, my youngest has even done some (very weird)album covers in the past.
I like most crafts. My mother taught me how to knit, crochet and sew before I started school.
I also like tapestry and cross stitch and doing crosswords
I'm currently doing a diamond dot picture for my daughter and also knitting her a couple of new jumpers while watching tv of a night.
Have attached a few of my diamond pictures, I also like cats.IMG_20240708_123652.jpg00000IMG_00000_BURST20240708123953_COVER.jpgIMG_20240708_124859~2.jpg

I’ve got three diamond dots been sitting in my wardrobe for 4years if anyone wants them free to good home. I prefer doing the paint by numbers much easier for my arthritic hands.yours are really pretty well done.👍

Love what you have done, it is a very peaceful craft. Yes I love cats as well.
