Crikey, do you work in Canberra?Sitting and Standing. Definitely not Laying - which means either: a bird laying an egg - because the egg is laid into a nest. Or a person lays an item onto a surface e.g. Joe was laying the table for dinner. To recline i.e. to lie on a bed is Lying - Joe is lying on his bed. Clearly this dog is not reclining, so not lying down. Let's not corrupt our grammar, folks. We need to set an example to the youngsters.![]()
