What is chronic pain?

Chronic pain is pain that lasts for a long period of time and does not have any permanent solutions. There are two types of chronic pain: Neuropathic pain and the other is Nociceptive pain. Neuropathic pain is a type of chronic pain that is caused due to nerve or tissue damage. There a certain sources of neuropathic pain, such as diseases, infections, accidents, surgery, and many others. Nociceptive pain is a chronic body pain that causes noxious stimuli by nociceptors, which are carried through the CNS, also known as the central nervous system, for the body to protect itself. Chronic pain can be detected through blood tests, x-rays, CT scans, and many others. Chronic pain is caused by back pain, cancer, interstitial cystitis, and many more.
