What are you thankful for this year?

G’day, dear members! How are you all doing this afternoon? Are you also munching on a little midday snack like me? I’m nibbling on a sandwich as we speak while thinking about all the marvellous experiences I’ve had this year. As we inch towards the end of 2024, I can’t help but be overwhelmed with gratitude, especially as I’ve gotten the chance to meet such wonderful people—that includes you, our wise members. What are you thankful for this year? Share it with us, and let’s bask in the blessings together.

I am thankful that this year l became fully retired. I had done voluntary work for over six years. It was becoming too much effort and responsibility. Every year there are courses to do for the necessary certifications. Plus the early morning starts or late afternoon finnish. Health issues have crept up requiring more frequent monitoring. However l now have more time to spend at the Men's Shed and other pursuits. My wife and I are about to go on holiday. For us life's good. 😄

That we have survived another year and health is not too bad. Also my daughter and her two girls have been staying with us while their house is being built. Estarra is 6 and Aisling is 17 months so it gets a bit noisy and hectic at times!
