What are you grateful for today?

I recently got a heartwarming message from one of our members, and it reminded me just how special this community really is. Every so often, I’ll see an email filled with the kindest words about what we do here, and it always stops me for a moment. It’s such a wonderful reminder that these little notes we share each day truly matter, and that connection truly goes both ways.

So today, I want to pause and say thank you to all of you. Thank you for reading, for sharing your stories, and for making these newsletters part of your daily routine. You’re the reason this space feels so warm, welcoming, and meaningful, and I don’t take that for granted.

Now, I’d love to hear from you, too. What’s something you’re grateful for today? It doesn’t have to be big—even the smallest moments of joy count. Share it here, and let’s fill this thread with a little extra gratitude!

I am thankful for my 3 beautiful loving hard working children. Their father was a selfish gambling alcoholic and due to that I worked and studied hard, at one time had 3 jobs. My children saw how hard I worked to give them a "normal happy childhood". I am so grateful they observed what I was doing as now they have children of their own and all doing so well. One has a very successful business, one is changing career - has gone back to study to become a teacher, and the other is successfully employed and working her way up the ladder. One proud mother.

I was delivering hot meals for Meals on Wheels today. Whilst the driver and myself were at the back of her car a random driver stopped. He wound his window down and told us what a great job we are doing. We were #1 in his books!!! We always feel great after we finish a run but this compliment from a stranger put a bigger smile on both our faces. Thank you to him.

Grateful for good hralth

There are so many things that i am grateful for, but the biggest thing i think would have to be the psychologist that i was seeing for 7 months. She is absolutely brilliant and helped me to see so much about myself that i didn't recognise. On my last appointment with she actually told me that i am a warrior and a survivor. You see, my childhood was of physical, mental and sexual abuse perpetrated by my father, grandfather, cousins and a couple of brothers. My mother knew it was happening and she chose to allow it, so yes, to have come through all of this relatively normal, and have a career in nursing, as well as raise 5 beautiful children, i am grateful to have a such a fantastic psychologist to help me realise that i am a good and decent person inspite of those that sort to destroy me.

I am grateful that Spring is here
