What are some of the most useful and unforgettable gifts you’ve ever received?

Hey, lovely members! As the festive season approaches, I'm keen to get a head start on my Christmas shopping and avoid the last-minute rush... And it had me pondering about the most meaningful and memorable gifts you've received over the years—those special items that left a lasting impression. Any ideas you can share would be greatly appreciated, as I'm trying my best to look for thoughtful and unique presents to make this holiday season extra special!

There's something magical about finding the perfect gift that combines utility with a personal touch. Whether it's a customised piece, an unforgettable experience, the latest tech gadget, or a cosy and comforting item, your suggestions will go a long way in helping me create a jolly Christmas for my loved ones this year!

I am impressed with the Beerenberg condiment range this year. The gifts especially designed for Christmas are all beautifully packaged and there is a range to suit every budget. Eg for $12 you can get an assortment of mini jams. There are a few perfect selections in the $25-30 category, the most popular I assume or for approx $200 you can get a massive hamper filled with delights. Happy Xmas shopping.

PS. Best to join their email list or email them directly & and ask them to send you their latest Christmas range as not easily found on website.

I love giving and receiving home-made hampers .

My most memorable gifts are 3 there are more but these three stand way out .

1. My girls took me out for a birthday breakfast and presented me with a beautiful card and inside was a treasure map with 10 points on it with a riddle . It was for when I got home. Yes it was a treasure hunt I won't say what the 10 things were but each room it led to there was something for that room eg my bedroom there were a beauty pack including my favourite perfume Chanel no 5

2. Birthday 3 years ago I received a beautiful handmade card from all my kids . The card was a ship and inside was two tickets for a 5 day cruise to Tasmania

3. A Birthday my kids all put in and presented me with a hard drive that they had got made . They had given all my old super 8 films and videos put onto a hard drive so we can now just plug it into a laptop and watch on TV

Hubby always gets bunnings gift cards

Knowing what to get people gets harder every year. A lot depends on age and gender. Most people in our age group have what they need. It's trying to find what they want is hard. Gift cards and vouchers are an easy option. But then they can see how much you've spent. Ready made gift packs are a way to go. Or make one yourself with some of their favourite things. If you're a crafty person, make something unique. Grand kids Just want money to get what they want. Who knows what they're into.

If I want to give something special I get something personalised for the recipient. One of the best personalised gifts was a calendar with photos of 12 different places/special events on it and on the pages of the month and days it had the persons name on their birthday and all through the calendar it had families birthdates and special occasion and milestones. It was well thought out especially for someone that has everything

I'm sure that there are many in the community that would like Supermarket Gift Cards in order to assist with their shopping. Others may just enjoy some ready cash in order to help pay their bills. Christmas is a wonderful time of the year and there is nothing like surprising someone you love with a special pre Christmas lunch/dinner, just the two of you together at a nice restaurant. Also it can be nice to donate a small gift for a young boy or girl at one of the Community Christmas sites....sometimes they are set up outside of the Supermarkets or elsewhere in the Shopping Centers. Anyway whatever you do this Christmas, be happy and enjoy yourselves and above all stay safe.
