Ricci don't underestimate yourself.
Omg stained glass is beautiful I had lamps made from stained glass and very expensive
I also have windows that are stained glass and to get a small panel repaired was so expensive. The windows were opened and a strong wind blew it shut, resulting in one panel breaking, I'm talking like 6 inch x 6 inch

These are some of my windows. In the first picture this was the window which broke, see the panel with just the red tear drop. That cost $1200 to fix. But when they fixed it you couldn't tell tge difference

Lovely!

It's amazing that you mentioned this.

I had a chance to become a Forensic Scientist with NSW Health in 1990 just after receiving my Chemistry Degree. I tossed up between forensic science and polymer science but the latter won out and I relocated from Sydney to the NSW South Coast to pursue my favourite pastime - surfing.
I knew we had something huge in common... "TRUTH"!

I have always wanted to learn to read and write Japanese but when I start other things seem to interrupt my endeavour.
Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji it's pretty difficult! I studied this but gave up when I was pregnant in my 20's.
I still remember important phrases which really impressed people when we were overseas. 🎎

I wanted to learn “ German “ 🇩🇪 so I enlisted in a Beginners Class
Unfortunately a week before the term started I got notification that
as they did not have enough “ Students “ they had to cancel..🤯

What about a violin ! l remember when my sister tried to play one nearly drove us nuts with all that screeching
One of my daughters plays the violin and in the beginning it was horrible. Two of my sons play the guitar and one daughter plays piano and organ the other 9 play no instruments but either dance or play representive sport

Don't mention the dreaded recorder! My two daughters practiced after they came home from school. It annoyed me so much that I went to the local RSL for respite.

A cross between fingernails on a blackboard and a dentist's drill are too kind of the words to describe such a cacophony of noise. Sort of like James Blunt's voice....

Forensic Criminology...!
From the age of 11-12, I would read my dad's True Crime magazines and to this day, I've been hooked!

I wanted to start by studying Psychology, but my parents "didn't have the funding" to send me to Uni!
My dreams were crushed, but my interest expanded.
I always did and still do, watch mostly true crime documentaries and am especially intrigued by Serial Killers and the human psyche, why people commit these crimes.

In my earlier years, a good friend of mine was on the popular quiz show, Jeopardy. This encouraged me to consider a self-study of Serial Killers to enter the show too.
Of course, it never came to fruition after marrying and having children.
I still never gave up, and when my kids got older, I once again gave it thought. However, by this time, the subject had exploded as the years went by, and criminals, from before my time, were added to the list as Serial Killers too.

The idea of studying in such depth would have been an impossibility at that time of my life, even though I still follow cases regularly and more often than not, solve their plans, intentions and outcomes.
I often feel that I have let down society for not contributing the aid I know I could, to assist and improve humanity.
And so..., reading and viewing the subject will have to do for my fading dream...!
I understand how you feel! I’m so intrigued by serial killers; fascinated by how their minds must work. Many (not all), are highly intelligent. Pity they didn’t/don’t put their brains to good use.

There’ve been a few who’ve helped detectives compile profiles of criminals because of their knowledge of the criminal mind eg Ted Bundy.

I had a huge collection that I brought with me to Australia, about 200 magazines.
I lent them to a colleague at work, and the SOB sold them for drug money!
