What’s a hobby you’ve picked up lately that makes you feel years younger?

I’m talking knitting, singing like you’re on The Voice, learning Spanish on a whim, or maybe you've finally taken up painting?

Whatever it is, we want to know all about it. Don’t be shy, leave a comment and tell us what’s putting the pep in your step these days!

  • 2 serrano or 1 jalapeño pepper, stems, ribs, and seeds removed (less or more to taste)
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 pinch dried oregano (crumble in your fingers before adding), or more to taste
  • 1 pinch ground cumin, or more to taste

I have always had many hobbies. Sewing, knitting, embroidery etc but I now have a knew hobby. Making miniature rooms. I have made 20 over the past year and my current one is a mansion that my daughter and grandson gave me for Mother’s Day. It’s wonderful how something so small can keep 80 year old fingers nimble.

Congratulations. I love evening walks at Christmas time to see the decorations in all their details. Driving past isn't the same.

Love your input! I don't like cilantro, so I use parsley. Lesson 1 done!

Going to the Gym 4 times a week and love it, made a lot of friends. My daughter has taken up thrift shopping and I am enjoying going with her.

I also love jigsaws and am having fun with 1000 piece ones. Have found quite a few at op shops - some brand new and so far all pieces there in those which have been opened.

I love cooking and since about October last year when my veggie garden was overflowing faster than I could eat everything or give it away, I got into pickle, relish, jam, marmalade and other preserves making and have had lots of success, and made lots of people happy and not wasted any fresh produce at all. I also make loads of delicious and totally healthy soups and a stack of other meals, sometimes completely out of my garden except for the herbs and spices. Gardening is another love and with all the new growth, you can't help feeling young, or, at least, very happy. And then there are all y gorgeous girls - my ducks and chooks. They even donate heaps of eggs daily, apart from being super cute and full f individual personality! I haven't got time to grow old! I just wish my body would remember that sometimes!

Running on the beach clumsily (I have Parkinson's). Don't care who is watching.
Go you! I never worry about anything or anyone when I'm on the beach or in the sea. I twirl, walk backwards, kick the water, I'm too happy to see if people are watching. I've lived long enough not to care about people's opinion.
