Ways to keep your kidneys healthy
Good kidney health is of great importance for regulating phosphorus level as they can remove extra phosphorus, and high phosphorus levels can cause bone disease and heart disease.
People with kidney problems have a higher risk of cardiovascular disease and are more prone to inflammation.
So, you can protect your health by preparing a kidney diet and including certain foods, so that you can increase the intake of antioxidants and nutrients.
Following these eating guidelines will help keep kidneys healthy for longer! Especially if you already have CKD (chronic kidney disease).
Do not add salt to your meals. Sodium increases blood pressure and it is not good for our kidneys. So cook without salt and avoid foods high in sodium (meats, canned foods, instant soups, etc.). Avoid oils and fats. Instead of frying food, choose other forms of cooking instead: steaming, baking, etc.
Protein, in moderation. Your doctor or nutritionist will recommend that you consume a certain amount of protein per day. You should not exceed this limit to avoid the progression of the MRC!
Drink water. Consuming two liters of water a day will help keep your kidneys healthy, especially if you have stones (stones in the kidneys) or if you have recurrent urinary tract infections.
Healthy foods that will improve kidney function:
1. Red beans
Their name shows you which organ they are most beneficial for. They are used as a home remedy to treat kidney stones.

They contain quercetin, a compound that protects the kidneys from damage. Add these foods to your diet and you will improve kidney function.
