Just joined this site this morning and was reading about somebody's experience at Woolworths.
I too, am a Woolies shopper, so you can imagine my delight when I picked up a pack of 4 Turkish rolls from the
Woolies bakery section (something I do each week), to see the "price reduced" ticket of $2.95 down to $2.80.
WOW !! What a windfall,..... a so called whopping saving of 15 cents. The only trouble was that they used to cost
$2.60 the week before.
THEY HAD INCREASED THE PRICE "FIRST" BY 35CENTS TO $2.95... "BEFORE" LOWERING THEIR NEW PRICE
DOWN TO $2.80, trying to convince the shopper he had made a saving of 15 cents, when in fact their new "SAVING PRICE"
still ended up costing substantially more.
