Watch the moment these not-so-ladylike racegoers lose their cool and start exchanging blows

Imagine this, you had a big day out planned with your friends – maybe it’s to watch the races, go to a fancy lunch, or even just hit the shops for a bit of retail therapy.

You’re all dressed up and feeling good, enjoying each other’s company and maybe even indulging in a glass of champagne or two. But then, as the day goes on and things start to wind down, someone says something that rubs you the wrong way.

The next thing you know, tempers are flaring and you're involved in a full-blown argument with your friends (or perhaps a stranger) – ruining what was supposed to be a fun day out.

Sadly, that's exactly what happened to a group of ladies at Brisbane's City Spring Racing Carnival.

The incident caught on camera showed two members of what appears to be two different groups exchanging physical blows along a walkway after an argument escalated out of control.

A woman in a green dress is first seen tackling a woman in a red dress to the ground, before another woman (also in red) joins.

The women throw punches at each other without care at all for the fact that their bottoms are out for the hapless world to see.

A man and another woman can be seen trying to intervene, but to no avail, as the brawl escalates.

The fourth woman yells, ‘GET OFF OF HER!’ as the man’s voice can be heard saying ‘No!’ repeatedly.

One fight then turned into two as another pair of women wearing light blue dresses can be seen fighting by a fence with the third woman earlier who joined the fray.

They can then be seen falling over to the ground, with the woman in red’s head audibly snapping to the ground (ouch!).

The two women in light blue continue fighting, with one smacking the other on the head repeatedly.

Honestly, it was hard keeping track of everything happening exactly because there was so much going on!

We do seriously hope everyone’s well, especially that last woman in red who appeared to be knocked out by the 30-second clip’s end.

Unsurprisingly, social media users could not help but air their disbelief about the violent scuffle.

‘How utterly repulsive.’ one said in disapproval.

Another said: ‘They should be ashamed of themselves.’

Others resorted to humour (as much as can be found in such a horrifying incident, at least).

‘Good old country race days, fun for the whole family.’ one joked.

‘What is with these women not wearing knickers? Ferals at work lol.’ another pointed out.

Some even went so far as to ask if there was a ‘convention for bogans’ going on!

Unfortunately, not much context is available as to why these women started to brawl in the first place. Though one can be heard saying something about her sister followed by a string of insults and slurs.

The incident, however, appears to have happened sometime late last month, between October 22 to 29.

Queensland police said they have not received reports of the incident, according to the Daily Mail.

Key Takeaways

  • A group of rowdy racegoers were filmed exchanging blows in an ugly brawl near Brisbane during the Spring Racing Carnival.
  • The incident is understood to have unfolded sometime during the week of October 22 and 29.
  • Footage shows women throwing punches at one another, with one violently hitting the ground at one point.
  • Queensland Police said it had received no reports of a fight taking place.
  • The IF Foundation advises bystanders caught in a brawl to never intervene and instead call the police.
Now, if you do find yourself in a similar situation, the IF Foundation recommends NOT going in and stopping the fight as ‘violent people often don’t discriminate’ and you might end up getting hurt.

Instead, call the police or any authority you could summon to break up a brawl.

If that is what a couple bogan women are capable of, I'd hate to see what their men were capable of. Those girls need to stay off the plonk for the sake of everybody's sensibilities!

The title of 'lady' is earned by acting and speaking like one. These are NOT ladies, they are females or women. Do not use the term of 'lady' unless one is such. When I am called a lady, I thank them for recognising my efforts to be one.
