WATCH: BIG W store merchandise sent flying as two women start bizarre fight

When you think about it, your usual trips to your neighbourhood shops can be pretty dull, with nothing but aisles and shelves of store produce silently waiting for you to chuck them into your cart before you make your way home.
So when something odd like a full-blown argument — with some flying store goods thrown in — takes place in a store, people notice.
That’s exactly what happened when two women were caught on video shouting at each other in BIG W recently.
Footage of the women — one blonde and one brunette — went viral earlier this week, with the pair in a heated dispute in the sports department .
The context of the argument is unclear, it appears that the blonde is angry at the brunette.
‘You’re running in… Come, b****h!’ the blonde could be heard saying, right before the brunette shoves a box of store goods against her.
The blonde quickly retaliated by pushing back harder, which made the brunette take a few steps back.
It can be seen that a few bystanders are trying to pull the two apart too, but to no avail.
She says something not entirely audible calling the brunette a ‘sl*t’, just as the brunette screams out in rage ‘I’m going to kill you!’
The brunette can then be seen moving away from the blonde, ushered by what appears to be store staff.
However, the blonde was undeterred, following the brunette and throwing more merchandise toward the woman.
The clip ends with the bystanders being more active, isolating the blonde and preventing her from doing more damage (but not before she throws another object!).
Another clip of the incident available has the blonde egging the brunette on to a brawl.
Unfortunately, the second clip fails to offer any additional context to the fight.
Most notably though, one of the women could be heard saying ‘Let’s go, whether or not I’m pregnant, let’s go. While he’s there… That’s my man.’

Whatever their reasons for fighting are, those who came across the video certainly had a lot to say.
‘I love the sound of Australian wildlife,’ one said.
‘We need David Attenborough to talk us through this,’ another said.
A third took aim at the objects being thrown around, and said: ‘Well there goes that $19.95 toaster.’
And a last said ‘total role models… I would have grabbed a chair and some popcorn.’
Well, hopefully no one ended up being hurt in this bizarre BIG W fight.
Now, while it can be very tempting to step in and hopefully diffuse similar situations, bystanders who wish to help can be proactive without getting in harm’s way.
The IF Foundation recommends that when witnessing a fight, the first thing that should be done is to call the police or security. It is hoped that signs of their approach heard by those in the fight (sirens blaring, footsteps approaching) will be like ‘throwing a bucket of cold water over their heads’.
The next thing to keep in mind is to never directly intervene in a fight since those involved are unlikely to discriminate in their violence and lash out at anyone who comes close.
And, of course, it’s important to never leave any seriously injured people behind, at least until medical help arrives.
